It's Bath Time on the Farm!

Bath Time!

We've been putting it off, but today is bath day for some of the animals on the farm. The dogs, Cowgirl and Buttons, got a good scrubbing today. Boy, did those dogs shine after a nice bath! We all agreed, it didn't take much to make them smell better either. Buttons was happy to have the ticks removed from her (we were, of course, disgusted at how many were attached to her. Yuck!). After a good scrubbing and hosing down, we attempted to dry the dogs with towels. However, they were quite eager to shake the water off and get us wet!

I also took this chance to try an essential oil natural treatment for bugs and ticks. I soaked the dogs' collars in the repellent blend and then put them on the dogs. We'll see how that works (it was a first try for me).

Bathing the cats was also on the agenda, but somehow, their instincts told them to disappear and we couldn't locate them when the time came for the washing. Smart kitty cats!
