A Day on Walnut Springs Farm

For the three eldest farm kids, Farm Mom and Dad, the day begins at exactly 5:30 a.m., which is the time that the farm's milk cow, Pansey, needs to be milked. Milking generally takes thirty minutes or less. When the milking is done, the farm kids head inside to start their homeschooling. There are currently four kids in school.

When school is done at about 1:30 p.m. the farm kids head outside to play. They play for 30 minutes before it is time for afternoon barn chores, at 2:00 p.m. The farm kids then play in the woods while the younger children nap. Nap normally lasts to about 3:30 p.m. Then it is time to include the younger children in play. The best outside, get energy out, activity is jumping on the farm's trampoline. All of the kids enjoy it!

Then evening milking is just around the corner! At 4:30 p.m. the farm kids head to the barn to milk. At 5:30 p.m. it's supper time. How hungry the farm kids are after a day like that! So the day has now closed a Walnut Springs Farm.

Do you live on a farm? Do you plant a garden? Hike in the woods? Take care of animals like the family at Walnut Springs Farm?
