Essential Oils for Stain Remover : An accident with silly putty?
You never know what’s going to happen around here. This morning one of the Farm Girls awoke with a report that she had lost her silly putty in her bed during the night. I could scratch my head and ask many questions…but I will continue. We found the silly putty stuck to the inside of her nightgown.
Thankfully it was the nightgown and not the hair! So, Farm Mom in all her brilliance and eagerness to try out these wonderful essential oils, looks up to see what oil will remove adhesive. Well, I found that a few drops of lemon essential oil, mixed with a small glass of water worked wonderfully!
I dipped a cotton ball into the mixture and dabbed it onto the problem area, then used a butter knife to scrap away the excess. After a good washing with my homemade laundry detergent, the night gown was restored to its former condition—silly putty free!
